Meet Dr. Mira Narouze, Ph.D, PSYS (OH)
The American Program is led by Dr. Mira Narouze, a licensed school psychologist and counselor educator whose career bridges clinical practice, higher education, and community-based recovery work across the United States and Egypt. Dr. Narouze holds a PhD from Regent University and serves as affiliate faculty within its School of Psychology & Counseling,
As founding director of a leading addiction recovery organization in Egypt, Dr. Narouze has spent years building sustainable, professionally trained mental health infrastructure in communities where formally trained counselors remain scarce. Her work designing clinical programs for residential recovery facilities in Cairo, combined with her academic leadership at Regent, positions The American Program as a bridge between rigorous American graduate-level training and the urgent, on-the-ground needs of Egyptian mental health and addiction services.
Under her direction, The American Program is committed to developing a new generation of bilingual, clinically skilled counselors equipped to serve their communities with both academic excellence and practical readiness.
